Design for the Century Writing Portfolio
Critical Theory Reflections Rendered in Retro UI
Presented a semester-long response portfolio for my MFA program as a retro desktop interface, using cascading Notepad windows to humorously frame critical theory reflections. Each entry is delivered with sincerity and structure inside a lo-fi aesthetic, playing on the tension between outdated systems and evolving design ethics.
Key Features:
-
Cascading Notepad windows mimic a cluttered desktop, visually stacking weeks of reflection while referencing outdated digital tools.
-
Lifelike, lo-fi interface styling adds humor and contrast, playfully framing serious critical theory content.
